Department of Grassland and Natural Landscape Sciences of PULS with Experimental Station in Brody has competences and capacity to implement the project. The institution has strong and specific competences on: i) quantitative methods assessment; ii) evaluation of grasslands and raw input materials; iii) relationships between herbage and biomass quality and utilization of grasses for feeds and bio-energy production; iv) protection and restoration of semi-natural grasslands.
The department has excellent contacts to the project region comprising approximately 60.000 ha of abandoned grasslands.
Department of Grassland and Natural Landscape Sciences of Poznan University of Life Sciences (PULS) is/was included as partner in international networks (Central Europe Programme, EU FP7.), co-operation projects (COST) and national research projects.
It will carry out the regional works, specific contribution in WP, Coordinating A 5.1: Establishing environmental impact assessments for DANUBENERGY.
